Welcome
Welcome to St John Bosco Catholic primary school, part of Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust.
St. John Bosco is situated in Town End Farm, Sunderland. It serves the parishes of Sacred Heart and St John Bosco and is in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.
At St John Bosco we are extremely proud of our community, which is made up of our talented and inspiring children, our dedicated and passionate staff, our supportive and active local governor committee and parents.
We take great pride in our school and work together to ensure the promotion of our mission:
‘Caring for each other as we live learn and grow in God’s love.’
We respect and value everyone in our school community. We value each child as an individual and we work closely with parents to foster faith, respect, kindness, compassion, forgiveness and a hard working attitude.
We ensure that the safety, happiness and learning of our children is as the forefront of everything we do. We also recognise each child as an individual, encouraging their talents and interests – ensuring that their voices are heard.
At St. John Bosco School we place great value on the personal skills of all within the school and are fully inclusive and imaginative in our teaching methods. We use a range of teaching strategies to offer a broad and balanced curriculum underpinned by an exciting and innovative curriculum that offers rich and memorable learning experiences.
If you would like to visit our school please contact the school office and arrange a meeting with a member of our leadership team, who will be happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.
